What a night, Elaine had been busy all day preparing food for the brilliant buffet she laid on, the rest of us spent the day setting up the darts, seating and the other entertainment. With just under 50 guests(27 members + family and friends) there were plenty of willing volunteers for the games. The evening started with a few people playing darts and pool for fun and then we started playing some group organised games, for those of you who haven’t played Killer Darts before the rules are quite simple, throw three darts and score more than the previous player or loose one of your three lives. The player at the end with lives left wins (In this case we all put 50p into a bowl and split it 50/50 between the winner & the club funds), I have played this many times on holiday but never with so many people, Simon Bowler won £6 and donated it to the fund raising. There were two PS2’s set up for other entertainment, with Sing Star, Eye Toy and Guitar Hero set up for group interaction, cards, Boules and mny other games to be played. After a short break we started a game of Killer Pool, again 3 lives but this time you loose a life if you fail to pot a coloured ball, an extra life can be gain if you pot the black. This raised a further £7 for club funds with the winner John donating half his winnings back too. The evening raised a massive total of £142.50.
